Fuzhou, China
June 2005 & March 2007
Wendy's hometown is Fuzhou, China, a sprawling city of more than 6 million people near the coast of southeastern China, across the straits from Taiwan. Fuzhou is the capital of Fujian province, which is famous for its many dialects and its tea. The city is ancient -- Fuzhou's first city walls were built around 200 B.C. Marco Polo was a visitor in the 13th century.
Wendy and Patrick have travelled to Fuzhou together four times, most recently in June 2005 and March 2007. These pages display a few photographs from those trips.
