Viany and Jose's Wedding!

¡Felicitaciones!

Viany and Jose were married on December 29, 2007 in Viany's hometown, Oaxaca, Mexico.  Wendy and Viany met in college at U.C. Berkeley and became close friends as exchange students in Tsuru, Japan, and Wendy was one of Viany's bridesmaids.

The spectacular Iglesia de Santo Domingo was the setting for the wedding ceremony, which was followed by a procession to the city's 16th century Zócalo.  The celebration continued with dancing and dining (and more dancing) into the night.  The following day, many of the wedding guests toured two of the region's richest archaelogical treasures, Monte Albán and Mitla, and then had dinner at Viany's family home outside Oaxaca.  The last link on this page brings up some photographs from around town in the colorful and vibrant city of Oaxaca.
