Bicycling on Virginia's backroads
Near Criglersville: June 9, 2007.
One of the highlights of rural Virginia is its extensive system of well-maintained county roads. Because many of these byways traverse beautiful mountain settings and carry very little traffic, they are perfect for cycling.
We rented bikes on a lovely day in June 2007 and and rode a short loop near Criglersville, in the shadow of the Blue Ridge mountains and just a bit west of Culpeper, Virginia (see maps).
